Charcuterie Boxes

We have been dying to make charcuterie boxes for quite some time. When a small gathering came up, we decided to use this as our opportunity to make the boxes as our food offering. It was as easy as it comes!

Everything we used in the boxes was store-bought with two exceptions: dry-marinated tomatoes and chocolate-dipped strawberries (which you could also buy, but we decided to make them). Our crackers, cheeses, fruit and nuts all came from Trader Joe's.

For the tomatoes:

wash tomatoes, do not dry

add them to a gallon-sized baggie

top with equal parts salt & herbs de Provence

(for one regular container of tomatoes, it's about 1 tbsp of each dry ingredient)

let tomatoes dry out and marinate in the bag for a few hours

The boxes also come with lids, so we tied them up with a napkin on top! Our guests had everything they needed in one contained piece (the best part is we didn't even have to provide cutlery!). It's the perfect option for a night of Mahjong!
